'We know everyone in this city, this city is ours,' said Twana Jamal during the recorded conversation.
He further claimed that he faced no scrutiny from local law enforcement while transporting goods from a warehouse.

'No-one touches us here,' Jamal said, adding, 'Even the police won't stop you.'
When journalists later confronted Jamal outside one of the retail stores, he denied his history of human trafficking and rejected claims of his French imprisonment.
Upon being presented with a photograph from his 2016 conviction in France, Jamal did not deny his identity but dismissed the findings.
'I don't care,' Jamal replied to the reporters.
The revelation coincides with a recent Merlin Strategy poll for The Independent, which indicates that 62 percent of respondents believe UK immigration has worsened since Brexit.
Official figures show a net migration of over 2.5 million people between 2021 and 2024, driven by worker shortages and international refugee programs.
