"We are extremely grateful for everyone's generosity," stated the parents in an update posted to the fundraising page.
The couple explained that they have remained at the medical facility for two weeks while their son underwent multiple operations, noting that the period has been highly unpredictable.
"We could never thank you enough for the support you have given our family in this horrible time," added the parents.
The family shared that both parents are currently away from work for an indefinite duration, and they plan to direct further donations toward their son's recovery and supporting the hospital staff.

"We have been living at the hospital for two weeks now and our son has undergone five surgeries," stated the parents.
Zoo's Response and Ongoing Investigation
The facility management expressed gratitude toward the local community for their overwhelming support while requesting privacy for the victim's family.
"The emergency services arrived very quickly, supported by the MAGPAS Air Ambulance, and we cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, compassion and dedication in such difficult circumstances," stated the zoo owners.
In a separate statement released through local police, the boy's family extended their direct gratitude to the facility staff who executed the rescue.
"The kindness we have received from our local community and from people across the country has been overwhelming," stated the zoo owners.
The facility reiterated that their collective thoughts remain focused entirely on the young boy's recovery process.
