England head coach Thomas Tuchel dismissed security and logistical concerns in Mexico City on Saturday, ahead of his team's World Cup round of 16 fixture against the tournament co-hosts on Sunday.

The squad faced a mixture of cheers and jeers while leaving their hotel under heavy security, following an official noise complaint by Ecuador during the previous round regarding disruptive fans outside the same accommodation.

National Guard members and riot police currently secure the premises to keep opposing fans away from the English delegation.

"We had no issues tonight and I think Fifa took care of the situation," said Tuchel.

The manager explained that the security presence guarantees the team a proper environment to rest before the upcoming knockout stage.

"I don't want to talk about problems that don't exist yet. If they come, we will accept them.

The best way to approach is to be relaxed and calm," said Tuchel.

Tuchel noted that the late kickoff time provides ample opportunity to make up for any lost sleep during the morning hours.

"What I experienced until now was very respectful and emotional and very supportive towards our teams, so we are very respectful towards everyone.

We expect to be treated with respect and that was the case," said Tuchel.

The head coach added that his experience with the local environment exceeded his initial expectations.

"It was even nicer than I expected," said Tuchel.

Tuchel detailed the immense football culture and energy that greeted the team immediately upon landing in the capital city.
