Auger-Aliassime aims to reach his first semifinal at the grass-court major. He advanced by defeating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in a five-set fourth-round match.

This is the second time the Montreal native has reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals in his career.

He entered the round of 16 without dropping a set or service game in his first three matches against Aleksandr Shevchenko, Dino Prizmic, and Michael Zheng.

The upcoming clash is the third career meeting between Auger-Aliassime and Djokovic. Their only previous tour-level encounter was on clay in Rome in 2022, which Djokovic won.
