"I've loved sports and cycling since I was young, I love traveling, so doing this road trip with friends was an ideal opportunity," he added.

The trip is designed to catch critical moments where top contenders compete for the yellow jersey.

"As soon as I could ride with my father on Sundays, I was immediately hooked," Drans recalled.

The competitive nature of mountain climbs draws early crowds, forcing the trio to plan travel days carefully.

"At the same time, a competitive but more family-oriented club was created in Saint-Léonard-Des-Bois. It was the perfect opportunity to continue!"

Drans said.

He noted the extreme dedication of other fans who camp out long before riders arrive. "We all three love cycling, so naturally we got closer," he said.

The daily relocation strategy is essential to maintain proximity to live race action. "We want to be where the riders attack," Drans explained.

Missing some intermediary competition days is a calculated trade-off to reach historic segments.

"To get to major stages, we'll probably miss some competition days," he said.

The group seeks the unique atmosphere of roadside crowds over traditional holiday accommodations. "Some Dutch are there a week in advance," Drans noted.

The social element of meeting other fans forms a major part of the experience.

"We wanted to be in this Tour de France atmosphere where we're always moving. Every day, we'll discover and party with new people," he said.

The itinerary concludes at Alpe d'Huez, one of the most anticipated mountain stages.

"In the Vosges, then we'll go to the Pyrenees and finish with the mythical Alpe d'Huez stage," Drans said.

The ultimate goal is watching primary classification contenders face off during final mountain climbs. "This is where the yellow jersey is decided and where there's pressure," he said.

Drans favors expressive riders but anticipates a renewal of the championship rivalry.

"They are showmen," he said, referring to past champions Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar alongside French prospect Paul.
