Lagerald Vick, a former University of Kansas basketball player, has been arrested in Memphis on charges of attempted first-degree murder.
The 29-year-old guard played for the Jayhawks from 2015 to 2019. He is also accused of using a firearm during a dangerous felony.

According to arrest documents obtained by ESPN, a man hospitalized with a gunshot wound identified Vick as the shooter.
The victim told police he was shot in the back while trying to flee after a confrontation.
Authorities said the victim recognized Vick in a photo lineup. The shooting occurred on July 4.
Vick's bail has been set at $1.5 million. He is scheduled for arraignment soon.
This is not Vick's first legal issue.

Earlier this year, he faced two felony charges related to theft and breaking into his former girlfriend's home.
During his college career, Vick averaged 9.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists over 117 games.
His senior season was his best, with an average of 14.1 points per game.
After going undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft, Vick played professionally in Taiwan, Colombia, and New Zealand through 2024.

In his freshman year at Kansas, Vick was the subject of a Title IX investigation involving a female student, but he was never formally charged.
