De Gelder uses his role as a motivational speaker and Shark Week regular to educate the public.
Regarding "Bull Shark Dinner Bell," he said the show aims to teach ocean safety by recreating conditions that may provoke bull shark attacks.
He also guided Molly Carlson through overcoming her fear of sharks for the "Ultimate Shark Dive."
Looking ahead, de Gelder, 49, expressed interest in exploring Greenland sharks, which can live for 400 to 500 years.
"I want to go see the big blind submarines that eat polar bears," he said.

Shark Week premieres with "Invasion of the Mega Sharks" on July 27, followed by the other specials on July 30.
