"They've got a good team over there with Frank Mason, but this game is for the fans," said Rashard Kelly, AfterShocks player.

Former Wichita State players highlighted that the long-awaited matchup carried significant meaning due to past scheduling difficulties between the two programs.
"We always looked forward to playing them, but we felt like they didn't want to play us," said Markis McDuffie, AfterShocks player.
"So to get a chance now in the TBT, I think that's fun."
Former Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall previously addressed the program's perspective on scheduling discussions during his tenure.
