"I have already sat with him once and I am going to sit with him again," said Van Bronckhorst.
"If his focus and thoughts are one hundred percent here, he is simply a great player. A footballer for the top, that seems clear to me."
The manager expressed hope for a swift resolution regarding long-term commitment while noting that final decisions rest with the board.
"If that goes together with a multi-year contract, I think that is an option," said Van Bronckhorst.
