Alexander Skarsgard undergoes a radical physical transformation in the upcoming comedy-drama film Wicker, starring alongside Olivia Colman and Peter Dinklage.
The project premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Adapted from a short story by Ursula Wills, the film is directed by Eleanor Wilson and Alex Huston.
It follows an isolated fisherwoman, played by Colman, who hires a local basketmaker, portrayed by Dinklage, to construct a husband out of wicker.
A Unique Practical Role
Skarsgard performs as the full-body wicker husband, wearing facial prosthetics and a custom suit to portray the character.
His arrival triggers jealousy, intrigue, and turmoil across the small village community as his presence disrupts local social norms.
The actor discussed his desire to take on the unique practical character role during an interview with EW.

"Most male actors dream of playing Hamlet at some point in their career. I never did," said Skarsgard.
The production utilized specialized prosthetics and design work created by artists in New Zealand to construct the full-body suit worn by Skarsgard throughout filming.
"My dream was always to have nipples made out of wicker.
Thanks to our wonderful directors, Eleanor and Alex, and the brilliant artists at Wētā in New Zealand, my dream has finally come true," said Skarsgard.
The cast also features Elizabeth Debicki, Richard E. Grant, Nabhaan Rizwan, Marli Siu, and Ella Bruccoleri.

Wicker is scheduled for theatrical release in the United Kingdom and Ireland on October 30.
