Mazda has confirmed that a next-generation CX-3 will arrive in 2027.
The announcement came through its mid-year financial report, which also revealed that the model will keep the CX-3 nameplate.

The official teaser image, however, features a silhouette of the previous-generation CX-5, not the upcoming subcompact SUV. This has led to some confusion, but the confirmation is clear.
Production and Platform
The new CX-3 will be built at the AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) facility.
From there, it will be exported to Japan, other ASEAN markets, and additional global regions starting in 2027.
Unlike some other jointly developed projects, the new CX-3 will ride on a Mazda platform.
It is expected to offer gasoline, mild-hybrid, and full-hybrid powertrains, with a possible six-speed manual for non-hybrid variants.

Official sketches shown in Thailand last year reveal a sporty design that follows Mazda's latest language.
The front end echoes the new CX-5, while the rear features a coupe-style roofline and taillights similar to the Vision X-Compact concept.
The CX-3 will remain Mazda's entry-level SUV, positioned below the CX-30.
It will compete with models like the Toyota Yaris Cross, Honda HR-V, and Ford Puma in various markets.

Mazda is expected to release more detailed teasers in the coming months.
