Tyler Soderstrom delivered an RBI single in the final frame to secure the win.

The loss was the 23rd in 29 games for the Angels.
They failed to capitalize on a bases-loaded opportunity with two outs in the bottom of the 10th when left-hander Hogan Harris induced a groundout from Jorge Soler.
Athletics reliever Scott Barlow earned the win after a scoreless ninth inning. Angels right-hander Chase Silseth took the loss after allowing an unearned run in the 10th.
Early scoring saw both teams combine for eight runs in the first two innings.
The Angels built a 5-3 lead on a two-run homer by Soler in the first, a solo shot from Jo Adell, and a two-run drive by Josh Lowe in the second off Athletics starter Aaron Civale.
The Athletics answered with a two-run single from Soderstrom in the first. Henry Bolte scored in the second after Lowe misplayed a single to left by Carlos Cortes.
Angels starter Jack Kochanowicz recovered from four walks and a hit batter in the first two innings.

He retired 12 consecutive batters, including six strikeouts, from the third through the sixth before the bullpen took over.
The Angels bullpen struggled.
Ryan Zeferjahn hit two batters in the seventh, and Sam Bachman allowed an RBI single to Nick Kurtz, cutting the lead to 5-4.
Angels closer Kirby Yates failed to secure his first save opportunity in the ninth.
Jeff McNeil led off with a home run inside the right-field foul pole to tie the game at 5-5.
Left-hander Tayler Saucedo, promoted from Triple-A earlier in the day, prevented further damage in the ninth.
He forced Kurtz to tap back to the mound after Cortes walked and Shea Langeliers was hit by a pitch.

Right-hander Luis Severino is scheduled to start Thursday night's series finale against Angels right-hander Jose Soriano.
