Stadium Upgrades and Injury Update

The program is currently monitoring stadium upgrades at Hoglund Ballpark as it remains in contention to host an NCAA Regional for the first time in program history.

However, the Jayhawks will play the conference tournament without junior All-American outfielder Brady Ballinger due to a wrist injury.

"Brady injured his hamate bone and we anticipate him back for the regional," said Fitzgerald.

The team is adjusting its outfield rotation to cover the absence of its star hitter.

"We've got multiple options," said Fitzgerald, mentioning Savion, Solis, and Dariel as potential replacements.

The winner of the matchup between Kansas and Baylor will advance further into the quarterfinals of the tournament.
