Quarterback Dylan Raiola has transferred to the Oregon Ducks football program for the 2026 season following a highly publicized departure from the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
The move was reported on Friday, May 22, 2026, by CBS Sports, Yahoo Sports, and Sports Illustrated.

Raiola, a former five-star recruit, spent two seasons at Nebraska before entering the transfer portal.
According to CBS Sports journalist Chris Hummer, friction between the Raiola family and the Nebraska program led to the decision.
Nebraska had invested $3.5 million annually in Raiola, making him one of the highest-paid college football players.
Hummer noted that the Raiola family sought a fresh start and a chance to compete for a national championship while preparing for the NFL Draft.
The Huskers were reportedly frustrated by the annual negotiations and were willing to save the money.
Several events in late 2025 preceded the departure, including the decommitment of Raiola's brother, Dayton, in mid-November and the firing of his uncle, offensive line coach Donovan Raiola, on December 6.
Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule now faces scrutiny over quarterback development, though the program may pivot to other options like incoming player TJ Lateef.
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning confirmed that the Ducks did not guarantee Raiola immediate playing time during recruitment.
The team already expected projected starter Dante Moore to potentially return rather than enter the 2026 NFL Draft.
