Team management is focusing on sheltering them from media scrutiny.

"You ask them the same questions Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For them, it's difficult to always repeat themselves and always give you the same answers.

We must protect them from that because frustration builds up," said Mike Krack, Track Operations Chief.

Krack stated that the team recognizes its current position and must achieve substantial development milestones during the ongoing season.

"We are well aware of our situation and we know what we need to do to improve.

It will take giant leaps and we know that in Formula 1 it is difficult to move forward during the season.

You have to motivate yourself by progressing a little at each race," he added.

Gasly and Ocon Speak

Alpine driver Pierre Gasly, currently holding ninth place in the standings, expressed belief that he has maximized his car's potential across the opening four races.

"The objective in the team is to bring the maximum performance. It's a new year.

There are cars that are very different. Every weekend, we learn more and more about the engine part," said Gasly.

Gasly noted that while Alpine has outpaced lower-tier teams, they remain distant from the front-runners.

"Everything depends on our ability to react as quickly as possible. I trust the team.

We would like to have a car that fights for victory this weekend, but the reality is that everyone on the grid and the 11 teams have the same desire to work very hard," he explained.
