Former Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert publicly challenged Donovan Mitchell and the roster to increase their intensity following a 121-108 home loss to the New York Knicks in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Finals, which left Cleveland trailing 3-0 in the series.
According to a report by Yahoo Sports, Mitchell is currently leading Cleveland with 26 points per game in the series but is shooting 32 percent from the three-point line and under 69 percent from the free-throw line, while registering 10 turnovers compared to nine assists.

Shumpert criticized the team's star guard during an appearance on ESPN, expressing that Cleveland requires greater productivity from its Second Team All-NBA player.
"We need more," said Iman Shumpert, a member of the 2016 Cavaliers championship team.
The retired guard emphasized that individual physical limitations or exhaustion should not impact Mitchell's on-court performance during the postseason.
"But the effort. He is an athlete.
You got the nickname Spida Mitchell. I don't care if you're tired.
I don't care if you're banged up," continued Shumpert.
Shumpert further implored Mitchell to push through adversity for the sake of the team.
"... Save the bus, save the girl, take the punches, the broken ribs.
That's why you're Spidaman," Shumpert added.

Shumpert also addressed broader systemic effort deficiencies affecting the entire Cleveland roster throughout the first three games of the series.
"Half the things that are going on with Cleveland is effort," said Shumpert.
The analyst noted a visible lack of camaraderie and team chemistry on the floor during difficult stretches of the matchup.
"I didn't see them bringing each other together (after foul shots)," added Shumpert.
He concluded by stressing that the players must display genuine passion and investment in the outcome of the postseason games.
"To give a (expletive), to care. It's nice to care," Shumpert stated.
The Cavaliers face elimination or the opportunity to extend their season in Game Four, which is scheduled to tip off in Cleveland at 8:00 p.
