Alexander Blockx withdrew from his scheduled Roland Garros second-round match against world No. 7 Alex De Minaur on Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
The Belgian sustained a sprained right ankle during a training session on Tuesday.

According to RTBF, Blockx caught his foot on the backcourt tarpaulin of the practice court.
The 21-year-old, ranked 37th, had opened the tournament with a victory over Coleman Wong.
Following the injury, Blockx will travel to Antwerp on Wednesday for medical tests to determine the severity of the sprain.
His withdrawal automatically propels De Minaur into the third round.

The 27-year-old Australian secured his second-round spot by defeating Toby Samuel in his opening match.
De Minaur has already surpassed his performance from last year, when Alexander Bublik eliminated him in the second round.
De Minaur will next face either Jakub Mensik or Mariano Navone as he competes for a spot in the round of 16.
The tournament schedule was adjusted following the cancellation of the 11 a. m.
