Murakami expressed his frustration through a translator regarding the missed opportunity to drive in the winning run during the late stages of the contest.

"It's obviously disappointing that we got a tough loss today," said Munetaka Murakami, Chicago White Sox Infielder.
"I just came up in the last at-bat, and I had my chances, I just couldn't convert [Acuna from third].
I could have hit that fly out and, you know, scored a run."
Burke noted after the game that his physical comfort improved as the outing progressed despite dealing with an illness over the preceding days.
"I honestly felt like my legs were under me, and I felt a lot better as the game went on," said Sean Burke, Chicago White Sox Pitcher.
"Tonight it felt like me and [catcher Drew] Romo were on a good page. We had a good game plan coming in."
Opposition manager Skip Shelton commented on the rebuilding plan and overall progression demonstrated by the Chicago franchise during the 2026 season.
