The Atlanta Braves reshaped their pitching staff on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, ahead of their game against the Chicago White Sox.
The club announced four distinct roster moves to strengthen both the bullpen and rotation.

Atlanta selected the contract of right-hander James Karinchak from Triple-A Gwinnett. To make room, they designated veteran righty Carlos Carrasco for assignment.
The Braves also placed right-handed reliever Tyler Kinley on the 15-day injured list due to right elbow inflammation, backdated to June 8.
In his place, they recalled 22-year-old pitching prospect JR Ritchie from Gwinnett.
The team confirmed the transactions via social media.
"The Braves today selected RHP James Karinchak to the major league roster and designated RHP Carlos Carrasco for assignment.
The club also recalled RHP JR Ritchie to Atlanta and placed RHP Tyler Kinley on the 15-day injured list, backdated to June 8, with right elbow inflammation," the Braves wrote on X.
Designating the 39-year-old Carrasco comes after he allowed runs in his last two major league appearances.

He holds a 3.00 ERA across nine big league innings and 30 minor league frames this season.
This marks the fifth time Atlanta has designated Carrasco since last August, a recurring cycle where he clears waivers and re-signs on minor league deals as emergency depth.
Karinchak, 30, joins the major league roster for the first time since 2023.
He posted a 2.45 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts over 25 2/3 innings with Triple-A Gwinnett this year.
His promotion creates a historic milestone for his alma mater, Bryant University, placing three of its alumni on active MLB rosters simultaneously for the first time.
Ritchie returns for his second big league stint.

Earlier this season, he recorded a 4.56 ERA and struck out 21 batters in 25 2/3 innings for Atlanta.
