The New York Knicks staged the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history on Wednesday night, overcoming a 29-point deficit to defeat the San Antonio Spurs 107-106 at Madison Square Garden.

OG Anunoby tipped in the game-winning basket with 2.3 seconds left after a missed three-pointer by Jalen Brunson, sealing the victory and giving the Knicks a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

New York now stands one win away from capturing its first NBA championship in 53 years, with the last title coming in 1973.

Spurs Dominate Early

San Antonio controlled the game from the opening tip, building a double-digit lead quickly and expanding it to 29 points in the second quarter.

Victor Wembanyama was a force on both ends, finishing with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks.

The Spurs also knocked down three-pointers at a high rate, overwhelming the Knicks early.

The momentum shifted dramatically in the fourth quarter.

New York unleashed a 28-9 run over just over seven minutes, fueled by defensive stops that led to fast-break points.

Brunson drove through heavy traffic for a layup with 1:22 remaining, giving the Knicks their first lead of the game at 105-104.

San Antonio briefly regained the advantage when Stephon Castle made two free throws, setting up Anunoby's decisive tip-in.

The series now shifts to San Antonio for Game 5 on Saturday night.
