Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim has reached an agreement to become the new head coach of Milan, a move that will also provide a financial boost to Manchester United.
According to The Guardian, United will save a significant portion of the £16.7 million compensation package they owed Amorim and his backroom staff after dismissing him in January.

Once Amorim officially resumes employment at San Siro, United will no longer be responsible for paying the full severance amount.
Amorim will take over from Massimiliano Allegri at Milan, signing a two-year contract with an option for a third season.
His main task is to revitalize the Italian side after they finished fifth in Serie A and failed to qualify for the Champions League.

In addition to the compensation savings, Manchester United has secured a financial lift from an upcoming Amazon All or Nothing documentary.
Negotiations began during Amorim's tenure, but production was deferred until now.
United will receive an access fee higher than any previous club featured in the documentary series.
Film crews will embed at the club from pre-season, following the men's first team under Michael Carrick, as well as the women's team and academy.
