To close the gap, AMG will launch more than 27 new models over the next 36 months, according to CEO Michael Schiebe.
The announcement came during an investor presentation in Los Angeles.
New Engines and Electrification
AMG is developing a new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with a flat-plane crank, first seen in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The engine is expected to power models like the CLE 63 'Mythos' and the track-focused GT Black Series.

On the electric front, the all-electric AMG GT 4-Door, with up to 1,163 hp from three axial-flux motors, will rival the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT.
An electric SUV will follow.
