"For American children, it gives them something tangible to aim for.
It gives parents confidence that if their child wants to pursue cricket seriously, there is now a professional pathway at the end of it.
Kids can start training like professionals from a young age knowing there is a homegrown professional league waiting for them.
MLC has effectively created a career option that never previously existed in America," he said.
He reflected on how the historical lack of local professional cricket options previously influenced youth athletic choices.

Infrastructure and Financial Growth
According to Cricbuzz, the Dallas-Fort Worth area alone expanded from three dedicated academies in 2022 to 19 academies in 2026, catering to approximately 1,400 enrolled children and generating over $4 million annually.
The financial expansion extends to the Bay Area market, which approaches $9 million annually based on an estimated 1,800 children paying monthly fees exceeding $400.
IPL franchises including the Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, and Kolkata Knight Riders have secured footprints by operating up to six academy locations independently or via local partnerships.
This grassroots talent pipeline flows upward into the 26-team Minor League Cricket structure, where franchise valuations are approaching half a million dollars despite generating minimal immediate revenue.
Strategically, MLC has secured a distinct June-July calendar slot that avoids direct talent competition with the BBL, BPL, and SA20 leagues.
