"We're going to focus on the positives. We're going to focus on the response (in the second half)," said Marsch.
Meanwhile, Canadian defender Alistair Johnston noted that the squad gave away defensive opportunities during the match, describing them as "cheap."
Canadian forward Promise David commended the team's late offensive surge after coming off the bench to score in the 74th minute.
"The response was good from the team, we fought back we got a goal back and pushed to the very end," said David.
David stated that the players remain focused on the upcoming historic knockout fixture.
"It's a shame we didn't get the tie, but we're ready for whatever's next," said David.
Canadian midfielder Stephen Eustaquio viewed the collective frustration within the locker room as a constructive indicator for the program.
"That's a good sign, that fact that we are sad and mad about this result," said Eustaquio.
Eustaquio highlighted that reaching the elimination phase fulfilled a primary objective for the national team.
"We got past our group, that's something that we really wanted," said Eustaquio.
The midfielder concluded that the squad would bring maximum intensity to the match at SoFi Stadium.
"Obviously wanted to stay in Vancouver for one or two more games ...
but we still have a World Cup to play so we're going with everything [we have] to Los Angeles," said Eustaquio.
