Minnesota Wild general manager Bill Guerin has been named the NHL's top executive for the 2025-26 season.
He received the Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award on Friday, June 26, 2026, during the first round of the NHL Entry Draft.

The award is determined by a vote of league executives, media members, and fellow general managers.
According to Daily Faceoff, Guerin accumulated 131 total points to claim the trophy, which has recognized the league's best executive annually since the 2009-10 season.
The voting system awards five points for a first-place vote, three points for second place, and one point for third place.
Voting Breakdown
Guerin captured 14 first-place votes, 19 second-place votes, and four third-place votes in the final ballot.

Colorado Avalanche general manager Chris MacFarland finished second in the selection process with 123 points, despite earning six more first-place votes than Guerin.
Under Guerin's leadership, Minnesota won its first Stanley Cup Playoff series since 2015.
