We're all gonna come together and be teenagers for the night," wrote Van Winkle in his caption.

The rapper, who has also developed a construction career and starred in nine seasons of the reality television series The Vanilla Ice Project, had previously emphasized his desire to keep his performance separate from political debates.

"I'm here to party with America, man," said Van Winkle to TMZ last month.

"Music is made to bring people together, and that's what we are here to do. And we're just gonna represent the '90s."

The cancellation leaves the remaining concert lineup uncertain after multiple original artists, including Martina McBride, The Commodores, and Bret Michaels, withdrew from the event series following its initial announcement.

Vanilla Ice had remained the final scheduled performer for the "I Love the '90s" concert night after fellow artists Milli Vanilli, Young MC, and C+C Music Factory also exited the lineup.

Following the artist withdrawals, President Trump commented on his own drawing power via social media last month.

"I am thinking about bringing the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and he does so without a guitar, the man who loves our Country more than anyone else, and the man who some say is the Greatest President in History," stated Trump on Truth Social.

The president had opened the festivities on Wednesday night with a political speech addressing supporters and highlighting several infrastructure and renovation projects around the capital city.

"For many years, our country was ruled by politicians who let America and its capital fall into decline and total disrepair.

The city named in honor of General George Washington was turned into a national disgrace, but not anymore," said Trump during his Wednesday address.
