Historical data indicates that only four other Flagrant 2 fouls have been assessed since Clark's debut, all of which resulted in immediate ejections on the court, unlike the delayed rulings in Clark's games.
Former Golden State Valkyries coach Natalie Nakase previously noted the league-wide physical approach against the Fever guard during the prior season.
"We know [Clark] doesn't like physicality," said Nakase.
Clark is ruled out indefinitely and did not play in Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Sparks due to a back injury sustained during the Phoenix matchup.
