According to Fox Weather, more than 20 states will experience temperatures reaching 100 degrees Fahrenheit this week.

Over 230 million Americans will see temperatures surpass 90 degrees as the nation celebrates its 250th birthday.
Desert Southwest and Southern Plains Hit Hardest
The Desert Southwest will endure the highest temperatures, with Bullhead City, Arizona, and Calexico, California, forecast to hit 107 degrees.
Local municipalities are hosting indoor and aquatic events to help families cool off.
In the Southern Plains, Oklahoma City and Dallas are projected to touch the 100-degree mark.

Major East Coast metropolitan areas like Philadelphia have already opened public cooling stations ahead of the expected triple-digit conditions.
Meanwhile, NBC Connecticut reported that thick humidity and intense heat will impact New England starting Wednesday.
An Extreme Heat Watch has been issued for the entire state of Connecticut from Wednesday through Saturday.
Feels-like temperatures in the Connecticut region are projected to peak between 105 and 110 degrees on Thursday and Friday.
