A 60-year-old German tourist died after being struck by lightning on Saturday afternoon during a severe thunderstorm on the beach of Renesse, Netherlands.
The man was walking with his wife near the De Zwaluw beach pavilion when the strike occurred, according to Omroep Zeeland.

Witnesses saw emergency responders perform resuscitation on one victim, as reported by HV Zeeland.
Medical emergency teams deployed a trauma helicopter to transport one of the victims to the hospital, while an ambulance transported the second individual.
