British jockey Hollie Doyle is navigating a lengthy recovery process following a severe leg injury sustained during a racing fall at Bath in May.

The forced absence required Doyle to watch the major summer racing schedule, including Royal Ascot, from her home as she continues daily rehabilitation sessions.

Doyle indicated that observing the races from a distance provided an unexpected opportunity to appreciate her historic milestone as Great Britain's most successful female jockey of all time.

"It was hard sitting at home watching it but I get so much enjoyment out of watching Tom ride and win," said Doyle.

She noted that watching her husband, Tom Marquand, secure three victories during the prestigious week brought significant satisfaction rather than any feelings of professional rivalry.

"I'm not a bitter person and I loved that," said Doyle.

Doyle extended her support to trainer Archie Watson and emphasized her focus on long-term stable success for the upcoming racing seasons.

"He's my husband and there will never be any jealousy there at all," said Doyle.

The standard pressure of daily competition often prevents athletes from recognizing their own milestones, a perspective Doyle gained during her forced hiatus.

"I get a lot of satisfaction out of watching him and William Haggas's horses win, because I know how much goes into it," said Doyle.

Reflecting on her previous performances, she highlighted the immense difficulty of securing victories at the highest levels of the sport.
