The teenager has shown immense composure on the international stage during high-pressure tournament matches.
"We've seen that against Brazil. He's shown maturity and personality," said Petit.
Petit noted that Bouaddi maintains his confidence even when operating deep inside his own defensive territory.
"Even at the end of the game, I saw him try to dribble in his own penalty area," said Petit.
The midfielder has already started three of Morocco's four matches at the World Cup, including a victory over the Netherlands.
"The confidence, he's got quality, he's got physical presence, he's got the tactical knowledge, he's got the technical skills," said Petit.
European heavyweights have monitored the progression of the Moroccan prodigy over multiple campaigns.
"I'm not surprised at all that he's been targeted for two seasons now with the big clubs in Europe, and it will be a fierce battle to get him," said Petit.
