Herve Renard has resigned as head coach of Tunisia's national football team, following their early exit from the 2026 World Cup.
The 57-year-old French manager announced his departure on Saturday, just days after the Eagles of Carthage were eliminated in the group stage.

Renard took over midway through the tournament, replacing Sabri Lamouchi, who was sacked after Tunisia's heavy 5-1 defeat to Sweden in their opening match.
Under Renard, Tunisia lost 4-0 to Japan and 3-1 to the Netherlands, failing to advance.
"My adventure (with Tunisia) has come to an end," Renard wrote on Instagram, expressing gratitude to the Tunisian Football Federation for the opportunity to participate in the World Cup.

"It was an honour to represent Tunisia and to have this unforgettable experience," he added.
Renard previously enjoyed success in African football, guiding Zambia and Ivory Coast to Africa Cup of Nations titles.
He was originally appointed by the Tunisian federation on June 16, but could not turn the team's fortunes around during the tournament.
