Button suggested that Russell must quickly find a setup solution to keep pace with his teenage teammate.

"It does feel that the car has gone a little bit away from what George's style requires," said Button.

The former driver emphasized that contrasting driving styles mandate unique engineering approaches.

"Their driving style is completely different, so you need to try other things if you want to get the best out of the car for your style of driving," said Button.

Button stated that both drivers must quickly adapt as the season moves further into the competitive European leg.

"So we'll see that, also we'll see them both adapt through the season to see what works for them.

It just needs to be done pretty quickly," said Button.

Wolff and Brundle Weigh In

During a post-qualifying exchange, Button asked Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff about the driver's apparent lack of weaknesses across different circuits.

"We all have bogey tracks, except for Kimi; why is that?" said Button.

Sky Sports F1 analyst Martin Brundle observed that Antonelli appears increasingly comfortable managing his position at the top of the standings.

"Antonelli's looking ever more comfortable as championship leader," said Brundle.

Brundle noted that feeling highly valued within a team environment directly influences a driver's baseline on-track performance.

"Mercedes is like a second family to him and that matters a lot - when you feel really valued in your team," said Brundle.
