Middlesbrough's first-team squad arrived in Portugal on Sunday and began a week-long warm-weather pre-season training camp on Monday to prepare for the upcoming Championship campaign.
Manager Kim Hellberg is leading a depleted squad at the Campus in Quinta do Lago after the recent departures of Hayden Hackney and Dael Fry.

Several under-21 players have joined the senior group to fill the gaps.
Midfielder Aidan Morris was granted extra time off but is expected to join his teammates directly on the Algarve.
Riley McGree and Tommy Conway remain sidelined with injuries sustained last term.
New forward signing Myles Peart-Harris traveled with the squad following his transfer last week. He highlighted the influence of first-team coach Adi Viveash on his move.
Peart-Harris said his past relationship with Viveash at the Chelsea academy strongly motivated his decision to join the club.
"Adi was there when I was a young kid. He was managing the older age group.
I think I would have been about 14 or 15 at the time," Peart-Harris said.
The 23-year-old forward noted that the coach noticed his physical transformation since their last meeting.
"He was quite shocked at how much I've grown and stuff like that. But I'm delighted to work with him and delighted that he's here," Peart-Harris said.
Peart-Harris emphasized his desire to continue learning under Viveash's guidance. "Knowing he was here helped me make the decision to come here.
