Tom Holland admitted that his first day on the set of Christopher Nolan's upcoming film The Odyssey was one of the most daunting experiences of his career.
The actor revealed in interviews published Monday that he initially feared Nolan disapproved of his acting due to frequent filming interruptions caused by IMAX camera limitations.

Holland explained that he was unaware IMAX film rolls only run for about three minutes, leading to constant cuts during a crucial emotional scene.
“Why does he keep cutting? Why does he keep doing that?
Does he not like what we’re doing?” Holland recalled thinking alongside co-star Jon Bernthal.
His anxiety subsided only after stunt coordinator George Cottle clarified the technical constraints of the IMAX camera.
“Oh, thank God. I thought I was totally s******* the bed in this scene,” Holland stated after learning the truth.
The scene they started with was one of the most important in his character's arc, adding to the pressure.

“There was a lot of uncharted waters for us. I remember it was really challenging,” Holland said.
Despite the rocky start, Nolan gave him a hug and a pat on the back at the end of the day, which reassured him.
“When I left that day, it wasn’t until I left the set that I was like, ‘Oh, I can totally do this.
Like, I can swim in these waters,’” Holland added.
Holland praised Nolan and producer Emma Thomas, calling them the best in the business and describing the experience as a front-row seat to a master of his craft.
He also commented on requesting a production delay for Spider-Man 4: Brand New Day to join The Odyssey, noting it was a tough pill for Sony but one they are now grateful for.
