Goodwin added that the coaching staff aims to provide the player with the right environment to sustain his development.
"He's had a great last couple of years, scoring in the Champions League and also scoring on his international debut and we feel he's heading to Scotland ready to build on the groundwork he's laid," said Jim Goodwin.

The manager concluded by welcoming the striker to the squad.
"We're excited to work with Idjessi and hopefully give him the platform to kick-on and continue progressing," said Jim Goodwin.
Metsoko shared his excitement about finalizing the loan move and starting his career in Scotland.
"I'm delighted to get everything sorted and become a Dundee United player," said Idjessi Metsoko.
The forward explained that competing in the United Kingdom has been a long-standing career objective.
"Since leaving France, I've played in the Czech and Slovakian League and enjoyed my time, however it has always been a dream of mine to play in the UK and I'm looking forward to the new challenge," said Idjessi Metsoko.
Metsoko noted that the prospect of playing in the Scottish Premiership under the current management team influenced his decision.
"The opportunity to work under the manager and coaching staff in the Scottish Premiership really appealed to me and I can't wait to meet the lads and try and help the team have a real successful season," said Idjessi Metsoko.
The striker also commented on his first impressions of the club's home ground.
"I've seen the stadium today and it's amazing! I can't wait to play in front of all the fans and hopefully score lots of goals!"
