Ravenell off waivers from the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

The move aims to strengthen the team's defensive front.
To accommodate Ravenell on the 90-man roster, the Giants waived injured cornerback Rico Payton.
Payton appeared in nine games for New York last season, recording 12 tackles primarily on special teams.
Ravenell is familiar with the Giants' defensive system under coordinator Dennard Wilson, who coached him during his time with the Titans last year.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound lineman recorded six tackles and one forced fumble in 97 defensive snaps for Tennessee in 2025.
He spent the 2024 season on the Baltimore Ravens practice squad.

This transaction is part of a comprehensive overhaul of the Giants' defensive line.
The team traded star player Dexter Lawrence, lost Roy Robertson-Harris to injury, waived Elijah Chatman, and allowed Rakeem Nunez-Roches and D.

Reader, Shelby Harris, Leki Fotu, Sam Roberts, Zacch Pickens, and Josh Fotou.

Before turning professional, Ravenell recorded 164 tackles and 14.5 sacks over 43 games at Missouri Western State, earning All-MIAA honors four times.
