"It will take out that pain, it will take out any worry, it will take out the noise," she said.
The media personality expressed profound remorse after hearing her children's perspectives, admitting she was entirely incapable of managing her own life or mental health at the time.
"When I hear what the kids, how they saw it, it breaks my heart.
But they were still always looked after, I still had people around me looking after them, like helping me," Price said.
Price acknowledged that relying on third parties for childcare was insufficient to meet the fundamental emotional needs of her children.
"But that's not good enough.
Kids need their mum, kids need their mum's love, their mum's hugs, and I thought I was given that, but obviously I wasn't.
It must have been horrible for them, horrible for them, and I'm just sorry to them that I put them through that and thought I was doing the best I could with them, but what could I have done?"
she said.
The depressive spiral culminated in a September 2021 incident where Price crashed her vehicle while driving under the influence, a crisis she noted followed prolonged suicidal thoughts.
"I was unwell. I couldn't even look after myself.
I was more than rock bottom. I didn't want to be.
I wanted to die. I felt worthless, suicidal thoughts all the time," Price said.
Price recalled welcoming her subsequent detention by authorities at the police station as a brief moment of respite from her chaotic life.
"I remember when they put me in a cell it was like peace. Peace and quiet.
I found that quite comforting. It is quite sad to think that," she said.

Following the 2021 collision, Price completed a six-week rehabilitation program at The Priory, received a 16-week suspended prison sentence, a two-year driving ban, and an ADHD diagnosis, which her children credited with successfully restoring their family relationship.
