The path of totality will cross Greenland, Iceland, and northern Spain, marking mainland Europe's first total solar eclipse since 1999.
Surrounding regions will see a partial eclipse, while the Perseids peak under moonless skies.
Massive Tourism Influx Expected
Municipalities in northern Spain are preparing for a surge in visitors.
In Castile and Leon, authorities anticipate around 500,000 tourists, including 40,000 in Burgos, where hotel rooms are booking for up to 1,200 euros per night.
Local astronomy groups are organizing public viewing sessions. "We're absolutely buzzing," said Enrique Bordallo, president of the Burgos Astronomy Association.
"It's a unique event, a wonder, a free show within anyone's reach."
Residents are excited about the global attention. "Castile and Leon isn't always in the news," said Belen Molinuevo Puras, an anthropologist.
