Former owner Mark Baan decided to sell the multi-generational company, founded by his grandfather in 1937, to dedicate his life to introducing people to God and the Bible.
The daily management confirmed the sale was driven solely by personal motivation, not financial difficulties.
The acquisition adds 103 employees from Taxi Baan to Brookhuis's workforce, bringing the total to around 700.
Taxi Baan will retain its local office, brand identity, and all current staff.
Employee benefits, including strict Sunday shift exemptions to respect the traditional religious rest day in Rijssen, will be preserved.
"Sometimes these things come your way, and we are very happy with it," said Loes Visscher, Commercial Director at Brookhuis.
"We have the ambition to be strongly anchored regionally in Twente. This step fits into that.
It feels like a logical step for us."
General Director Erwin Brookhuis emphasized the importance of maintaining Taxi Baan's character.
