A New Vision for Horror
Vaniček, known for the spider-themed horror Infested, steps up the cinematic ambition. The production values and intense bodily violence echo the early 2000s New French Extremity movement.
While Raimi relied on abstract, cartoonish violence, Vaniček delivers visceral realism. Dark imagery dominates until a highly stylized color palette emerges for the grand finale.
