"If something happens to me, it was [redacted] and his wife," he wrote.
The investigating detective attempted to contact the accused individuals, but the male suspect remained uncooperative during an anonymous return phone call, stating only that he had not been near Arizona.
Additional context came from Sheets' girlfriend, who told police that a male slandering his name had caused Sheets severe stress and insomnia.
This was compounded by a dispute with his son, Brandon, days before the suicide.
On April 21, the girlfriend alleged that a text message from Brandon's wife slandered her and accused her of financial theft, leaving Sheets highly upset before he went into his office with a firearm later that night.
Following the tragedy, family members and former castmates gathered on June 29 to hold a memorial service for the television personality.
"Yesterday was everything we could have hoped for and more," captioned Kimber Wuerfel, his former wife.
The memorial turnout brought together individuals from various chapters of Sheets' life to share memories and honor his legacy.
"Family and friends traveled from near and far to celebrate Darrell's life, share stories, laugh, cry, and remember the man we all loved so much.

The turnout was incredible, and seeing friends from every chapter of his life together in one place was truly unforgettable," Wuerfel wrote.
