Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of goalkeeper Calum Ward from Scottish Premiership side Motherwell, the club announced on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
The 25-year-old Essex-born shot-stopper joins for a reported fee of £650,000, according to West London Sport, though other sources list the fee as undisclosed.

Ward arrives at Loftus Road following an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, in which he made 42 appearances, kept 20 clean sheets, and broke two club records to help Motherwell finish fourth in the Scottish Premiership.
The signing is part of a major overhaul of QPR's goalkeeping department under manager Julien Stephan.
Joe Walsh has joined Wigan Athletic on loan, Murphy Cooper is poised to move to Plymouth, and both Paul Nardi and Ben Hamer have already left the club this summer.
Ward Reflects on Motherwell Success
"We were slow starters, but once the season got going, we got our first win, and then we kicked on from there," Ward said, reflecting on his time at Motherwell.
The goalkeeper expressed pride in achieving the club's highest league finish in six years and highlighted his personal accolades during his 43 total appearances since joining in early 2025.
"The clean sheets are just a bonus," Ward said.
"Obviously, it's really nice to get them personally, and that's what we strive for as goalkeepers, but as a team, we just had a season that you couldn't really believe."
Ward, a former AFC Bournemouth academy player who also played in Finland for HIFK Fotboll and AC Oulu, kept the highest number of clean sheets in the Scottish top flight last season, surpassing totals from international keepers like Jack Butland and Kasper Schmeichel.
