Actress Ali Larter has relocated her family from Los Angeles to Sun Valley, Idaho, to embrace a simpler, outdoorsy lifestyle and prioritize her children away from Hollywood's demands, according to reports.
The "Landman" star moved during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in 2020 alongside her husband, actor Hayes MacArthur, and their two children, Teddy and Vivienne.

Larter stated that the decision allowed the family to focus entirely on their children after realizing Idaho's schools were open for in-person learning while California facilities remained closed.
The transition marked a significant shift from her glamorous Hollywood image to a rural routine including fly-fishing, river floating, and family barbecues.
Speaking at the Newport Beach TV Festival, Larter detailed how her current summer routine contrasts sharply with her previous life in California.
"We love being with our children," Larter told Fox News. "And it's like we made decisions for the right reasons, [that's] what it felt like.
Putting our kids first."
The family initially planned a temporary stay but chose to remain permanently after experiencing the community and outdoor activities.
"It's just kind of simpler, and the days are really long.
The sun's out till like 10 at night now, so it's been really beautiful to kind of have the kids out of school and enjoy the time with them," Larter added.
Larter noted that living in Los Angeles required balancing numerous industry expectations, such as attending parties and charity events, which conflicted with her desire for a family-focused environment.
