Mother's Emotional Confrontation

In a poignant incident, a grieving mother, Damely Yaneth Díaz, confronted Nicolás Maduro Guerra, the son of former president Nicolás Maduro, during his visit to a damaged housing project named after Hugo Chávez.

"I didn't lose a kitchen! I lost a daughter!"

Díaz shouted, highlighting the government's perceived failure to provide adequate support.

Her emotional outburst resonated with bystanders, who rallied around her as she criticized government officials for their negligence.

"The lot of you should be arrested," she declared, emphasizing the recklessness that has led to such tragedy.

Inadequate Government Response

As reported by The Guardian, many Venezuelans believe the government's response has been inadequate, with citizens feeling abandoned in their efforts to rescue trapped loved ones.

The official death toll has risen to 4,490, and with ongoing recovery efforts, this number may continue to grow.

Delcy Rodríguez, Venezuela's acting president, has dismissed public criticism as part of a propaganda campaign.

She claimed that her administration and the armed forces are working diligently to assist victims, but her visit to the region has been largely devoid of interaction with affected families.

Rodríguez stated, "Wretched" critics of the government will be buried, remarks that have only intensified public anger, especially among families still searching for their deceased relatives.
