Suzuki has confirmed plans to introduce an urban electric vehicle in Europe and the UK by spring 2027.
The production version of the Vision e-Sky concept will start at under £20,000 (€23,000 / $26,000).

Positioning and Competition
The new EV will be smaller than the Suzuki Swift, which measures 3,860 mm (152.0 in) in length.
The concept itself is eligible for Japan's kei car regulations, with a length of 3,395 mm (133.7 inches).
Key rivals include the Dacia Spring, Renault Twingo E-Tech, and Honda Super-N.
The Dacia Spring starts around £16,000 (€18,800 / $21,400), while the production version of the VW ID.
Every1 concept aims for £17,000 (€20,000 / $22,000).
The Renault Twingo E-Tech offers a WLTP range of 263 km (163 miles), and the Honda Super-N covers 206 km (128 miles).

The Suzuki concept advertised a range of over 270 km (168 miles).
Design and Specifications
Based on earlier Suzuki models, the production styling is expected to closely follow the prototype.
Minor tweaks may include revised bumpers, lighting units, conventional door handles, and larger mirrors.
Suzuki has not yet disclosed details about the electric motor or battery pack.
The brand currently relies on mild-hybrid and hybrid powertrains, with the e Vitara as its only fully electric model.
David Kateley, Suzuki's UK boss, expressed enthusiasm for the A-segment BEV, calling it "vitally important" and an entrant in a new segment for the company.

The new EV will help Suzuki meet strict emissions regulations in Europe and the UK. A third Suzuki EV is expected by 2029, likely a crossover model.
