General Motors' electric truck lineup is struggling, and dealers are responding with hefty price cuts. Discounts of up to $21,396 are available, especially on unsold 2024 models.
Sales figures paint a grim picture.

Through the first six months of 2026, Chevrolet sold only 3,672 Silverado EVs, a 32.5% decline year-over-year.
That averages just 612 units per month.
GMC Sierra EV sales rose 9.8% to 3,044 units, but the gain was offset by a 54.9% plunge in Hummer EV sales, which totaled 3,601 vehicles.
Combined, GM sold only 10,317 electric trucks in six months—far fewer than the 25,418 Chevrolet Express vans sold in the same period.
Dealer Discounts on Silverado EV and Sierra EV
Carr Chevrolet in Oregon is offering a $21,396 discount on a 2024 Silverado EV work truck, reducing its price from $75,345 to $53,949 (plus a $250 document fee).
McCarthy Chevrolet in Missouri has a 2024 Silverado EV RST originally priced at $96,995, now discounted by $15,000 to $81,995.

For newer models, Advantage Chevrolet in Illinois offers $8,589 off a 2026 Silverado EV LT Max Range, bringing the price to $86,995 from $95,584.
Clay Cooley Chevrolet in Texas slashes $9,000 off a 2026 Silverado EV LT, lowering it to $53,995.
Sierra EV deals are also available.
AutoNation Buick GMC Corpus Christi offers $10,565 off a 2026 Elevation Extended Range, dropping the price to $68,770 from $79,335.
Covert Buick GMC cuts $7,000 off a similar model, now priced at $60,685 plus a $225 document fee.

Many dealers are also converting unsold electric trucks into courtesy transportation vehicles. With inventory piling up, shoppers are encouraged to negotiate aggressively.
