Barinholtz apologized to the audience for his coughing display before shifting focus to the changing leadership in the Senate.

The monologue concluded with a segment on technology firms marketing artificial intelligence services to recreate deceased relatives as interactive avatars.
"The way it works is you give them photos or videos of your dead relative and they work their AI witchcraft to present you with this lovely nightmare," said Barinholtz.
Barinholtz broadcasted a video clip showing an AI-generated elderly individual to demonstrate the current state of the technology.
"I can't decide whether this is the best or worst gift to bring to a funeral," continued Barinholtz.
