Emergency services contained the blaze around 5:00 p. m.

Authorities closed portions of Sibemaweg, Dokter Nevenstraat, and Adelbert van Scharnlaan to give emergency responders clear access to the scene.
An on-site worker discovered the fire and immediately initiated an evacuation for approximately 40 workers present inside the structure.

Emergency personnel evaluated one individual at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.
Dark smoke plumes rose from the flames, remaining visible across neighboring areas including Scharn, Amby, Wittevrouweveld, Geusselt, and parts of Southwest Maastricht.
Safety officials instructed local residents to keep windows and doors closed and turn off ventilation systems.
Deployment of specialized monitoring teams confirmed that no elevated carbon monoxide levels or hazardous chemical risks were detected in the surrounding air.
