Rookie Jackson Koivun claimed his first PGA Tour victory at the 3M Open on July 26, 2026, shooting a bogey-free 66 in the final round at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota.
The 21-year-old finished at 25-under 259, setting a course scoring record, and beat world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler by three strokes.

Koivun earned $1.584 million in prize money in just his third professional start after leaving Auburn University.
His victory was built on a spectacular third round, where he posted a 10-under 61 with a record 28 on the back nine.
During the final round, he hit 21 consecutive greens in regulation and gained over nine strokes on the field in approach play throughout the tournament.
Scheffler shot a final-round 63 to finish runner-up at 22-under, recording his fifth second-place finish of the season despite narrowing the gap to two strokes late on Sunday.
Koivun reflected on managing pressure while hearing fans track Scheffler's charge. "All throughout the crowd I kept hearing, 'Scottie's coming, Scottie's coming,'" he said.

"I just tried to tune that out and keep playing the golf I knew I could."
The win capped a rapid transition from collegiate golf, where Koivun had been the world's top-ranked amateur before turning professional after the U.
S. Open earlier in the summer.
"I just love this game. I love golf, it's everything I do," said Koivun.

"I have a tough time getting away from it. Like I said, it's been love at first sight."
